Captured during the mid-1980s at the Greenwich Village Halloween Parade, this striking black-and-white photograph highlights the inventive spirit of New York City's nightlife. Two figures stand side-by-side wearing elaborate, hand-crafted masks that appear to be made of papier-mâché, one featuring a sharp fin and the other a wild, sunburst of spikes, both accented with silverware for eyes.
