Three pageant contestants in tiaras and shimmering sashes march through the Village Halloween Parade in the mid-1980s, their arms raised in triumphant waves. The trio sports sashes for "Miss Laid," "Miss Used," and "Miss Information," capturing the irreverent, high-camp humor of the New York City celebration. To their right, a person in a grotesque goblin mask and a feathered collar adds a surreal touch, hands held in a curious, claw-like gesture. Shot on Tri-X film with a 35mm camera and a powerful professional strobe, the image freezes this diverse cast of characters against the dark street.
