Captured on 35mm B&W film between 1982 and 1986, this close-up shot features two of Ralph Lee's masterfully crafted puppets pulling a cart through the Greenwich Village Halloween Parade. The frame is filled by their weathered, horned faces, with human eyes visible through the masks' sockets, adding a startlingly lifelike layer to the grainy analog texture. Being inside the parade allowed for close interaction with these creations, capturing the raw, handmade detail that defined the event's early years.
